Julia Cagin

BIO

Attorney Julia Cagin is a zealous advocate for her clients, and has dedicated her practice to helping families get through tough times. She has experience representing clients in complex divorce, custody and support matters. Julia works hard to make sure that her clients understand the legal components of their case, and works towards helping the client get the best resolution that is possible.

Julia is passionate about working with families and making a difference in their lives. Prior to re-joining the Mandel Law Firm, where she interned while in law school, she worked as an attorney at an organization that did low-bono work relating to matrimonial, custody and support cases, and she worked at a boutique matrimonial firm in Manhattan. While in law school, Julia participated in Cardozo’s Divorce Mediation Clinic where she mediated divorces. She also participated in the Special Education Clinic with Bronx Legal Services, where she advocated for children to receive services that they needed while they were in school.

Julia was also a Notes Editor for Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution, and was the President of the Family Law Society. She also took an intensive class on Collaborative Family Law.

In her free time, Julia is on the advisory board for two collegiate chapters of Phi Mu Fraternity, and is involved with Cardozo’s recent alumni group. Julia also enjoys to travel and is an avid skier.
